PCB Assembly

SMT Assembly Technology

SMT assembly is a high-precision manufacturing method that enables the direct mounting of electronic components onto the surface of a PCB. The production process involves solder paste application, the automated placement of components, and controlled soldering stages.
On our SMT line, various surface-mount components—such as resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, diodes, and transistors of different sizes—can be precisely placed onto PCBs. This technology offers significant advantages in the production of electronic boards that require compact designs and high component density.

THT Assembly Technology

In THT technology, components are mounted onto the PCB by inserting their leads through holes in the board. THT components may be preferred, particularly for applications requiring high mechanical strength, high current-carrying capacity, or specialized component structures.
GM Electronics offers mixed-technology PCB assembly solutions—compatible with SMT components—by handling the placement, soldering, and post-production inspection of THT components.

SMT + THT Mixed Production

Today, many electronic boards require the use of both SMT and THT components on the same PCB. To meet this requirement, GM Electronics manages SMT and THT production processes in an integrated manner.

Our production process generally consists of the following stages:
  PCB intake and pre-production inspection
  Solder paste application
  SMT component placement
  Reflow soldering
  THT component placement
  THT soldering
  Visual and automated quality inspections
  Electrical testing and functional checks
  Final inspection and shipment
